ABOUT THIS PROTOTYPE

Experience first.
Honest about the data.

This is an interactive demonstration, not a live tracker. All vehicle identities and movement are fictional. The replay compresses a hypothetical mission into 3 minutes 20 seconds.

The layout is a stylized representation of Starbase. Buildings and rockets are enlarged, flight distances are compressed, and geography is approximate. Ship return and tower catch illustrate a future experience rather than a claim about an actual mission.

The Public feed view checks SpaceX’s public tracker and shows reported coordinates on OpenStreetMap. Its sample timestamp is interpreted as GPS seconds since January 6, 1980, with an 18-second UTC offset. A new fetch does not make an old sample live. Altitude and speed are shown as raw feed values because their units are unverified. Predicted trajectories are not shown as observations.

The feed is undocumented, may stop or change, and does not provide complete ground-movement coverage. When a refresh fails, the last sample or a saved snapshot remains explicitly labeled. No live data is mixed into the demonstration replay.

What do the map labels mean?

3D replay: a fictional rocket journey you can play anytime.
Recent sample: a reported position less than two minutes old.
Stale sample: an older position; we do not know where the vehicle is now.
Snapshot: a saved response shown when a refresh fails.
